“Dorie and the Screven County Development Authority did an outstanding job putting together a great incentive package that was tailored to suit all of our needs,” says Dr. David Pickrell, President of Omega Piezo Technologies, Inc.  “They made our decision to come to Screven County an easy one.  The purchase of this building will allow us to bring high tech manufacturing jobs to the area.  We anticipate spending over $200,000 to get this plant fully operational which includes building upgrades, equipment purchases and installation, and employee training.”

“When I met Dr. Pickrell, I knew he and his company would be a great fit for our community,” says Screven County Development Authority Executive Director Dorie Bacon.  “They make a quality product and I feel like our workforce and the available building made Omega Piezo a perfect match for Sylvania and Screven County.  I appreciate the city and county both working with us to make this project a reality.”

“Advanced manufacturing is one of our strongest industries in the state, and Screven County is full of talented, committed workers ready to help Omega Piezo achieve its business goals,” said Chris Cummiskey, Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Economic Development.

“The purpose of the Development Authority is both to support existing industry and to bring new jobs and investment to Screven County,” says Chairman Bobby Smith.  “We are thrilled to welcome Omega Piezo to our community.  I look forward to many years of working with them to grow and prosper in Sylvania.”
