ATLANTA – Bobby Smith and Dorie Bacon of Screven County Development Authority traveled to Atlanta to represent Screven County at a two-day economic development marketing event August 26-27, 2013.  More than 40 statewide project managers, brokers, and site selection consultants attended the reception and breakfast and presentation to learn about available industrial sites in buildings in the 13 counties of the Greater Savannah Regional Alliance.

“Our marketing dollars go further and we get more attention for our community by leveraging regional partnerships,” says Dorie Bacon, currently serving as chair of the Greater Savannah Regional Alliance (also known as Middle Coastal Unified Development Authority).  “We had great attendance at the event and look forward to participating in more joint marketing efforts in the future.”
