In Screven County, industry enjoys a wealth of high-value incentives, including Georgia’s top Tier 1 job tax credits, which Screven County can sweeten with an additional $500 per job through a Joint Development Authority incentive. Other import/export incentives are also available.

Tier 1 job tax credit: For qualified business and industry credits may be taken against 100% of state corporate income tax liability, up to $4,000 credit per job for up to 10 years.

Joint Development Authority job tax credit: Screven County’s collaboration with the Greater Savannah Regional Alliance enables the County to offer an additional $500 credit.

Freeport exemption: Screven County provides a tax exemption of tangible personal property used in the manufacturing process, including raw materials and partly finished goods, and finished goods manufactured or produced with Screven County and stored here by the manufacturer for a period not to exceed 12 months.
